Terminator is a GTK terminal emulator that lets you split a window into panes and group them.

Group terminals to type into several at once¶

1. Open Terminator, right-click in the terminal, and choose Split Vertically (or Horizontally).
2. In the top-left of one pane, click the group icon and choose New group, then name it.
3. In the other pane, open the same icon and select that group name.

Anything typed into a member of the group is sent to all members. Useful for running the same command on several SSH sessions. The shortcut keys Super+G (group all) and Super+Shift+G (ungroup all) do the same. Double-check which pane is focused before running a destructive command, since every grouped pane receives it.
