Fedora (RPM)

Set the version to the latest release from the releases page. 2.7.0 is the version these notes were written against.

VERSION=2.7.0
sudo dnf install https://github.com/usebruno/bruno/releases/download/v${VERSION}/bruno_${VERSION}_x86_64_linux.rpm

dnf installs directly from the URL, so there's no separate download to clean up. A release RPM doesn't add a repo, so dnf upgrade won't update Bruno. Re-run the command with a newer version instead.

Any distribution (Flatpak)

flatpak install flathub com.usebruno.Bruno

Flatpak updates arrive with flatpak update. A Flatpak app is sandboxed, so if you keep collections outside your home directory, give it access with flatpak override --user --filesystem=/path/to/collections com.usebruno.Bruno.

CLI (optional)

The bru CLI runs collections from a terminal or CI pipeline:

npm install -g @usebruno/cli
cd /path/to/collection
bru run --env <environment-name>
